Originally this business could cater for 10 patients but growth over a two year period has increased their total capacity to 50 patients and established a popular therapy and self help department.

Issues

After discussing the rapid growth of the business it became evident their network hardware and software had become extremely fragmented. Their network had grown gradually and new equipment and software had been added as the need had arisen.  There was no current data backup solution and data was stored on the workstations where files were created, wireless continually disconnected and employees were often offline for several days, most employees didn't have email access and their client calendar was not computerised meaning sharing appointment and meeting times was often difficult. 

Solution

Designing and implementing suitable and cost effective network solutions was part of the second phase. Installing CAT5 cabling was essential in resolving connectivity problems. Once completed RockIT installed a virtual Microsoft Small Business Server including Microsoft Exchange. This meant the business was able to store critical files in a central location essential for data security and to prevent data loss. Finally, through Microsoft Exchange RockIT were able to ensure all employees had access to emails through Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web Access. 

Becoming currently one of the leading Alcohol Rehabilitation Centres in Wales, we still support their everyday requirements through RockIT Support+ as well as their continued growth and expansion.
